This particular project was primarily focused on the construction of a new external swimming pool, paired with a stylish and functional outbuilding.

I had the worked previously with the client on an ambitious transformation of their four-bedroom home into a spacious and modern six-bedroom residence.

For this project the client envisioned an external space that would include an outdoor kitchen and dining space, additional indoor kitchen and lounge space, a games roof and gym.

We took great care in considering every aspect of the building's overall shape, height, finish, and strategic positioning within the landscape, ensuring that it complimented both the main dwelling and the beautifully landscaped existing garden.

The initial design stage commenced during my tenure at my previous employer (Brown & Co), with the construction phase being completed after I had set up Ian Norris Architectural Design Ltd. My role for the project included the completion of the initial scheme design for client review and acceptance, preparation and submission of the planning and building regulations design (in coordination with the planning team at Brown & Co), and regular site visits and monthly project meetings with the appointed contractor and client during the construction phase.
